Discover a beautiful island paradise this summer just minutes from our Deerfield Beach resort. Deerfield Island Park is a 53-acre wildlife preserve that offers a unique glimpse into the natural world of the Florida coast. Accessible only by boat on the weekends, Deer Park Island is one of the natural treasures of South Florida. Hike along a well-maintained nature trail with an observation deck to see spectacular native plant species or just relax with your family in the picnic area. There's also a butterfly garden to explore. Summer doesn't get any better than a visit to Deer Island Park!

Getting to Deer Island Park
The island can only be reached by boat. You can take a kayak, canoe or small boat (no bigger than 25 feet long) to the island. There is also a free boat shuttle that transports visitors on the weekends. It leaves from Sullivan Park (a five-minute drive from our hotel) every hour on the hour between 10 am and 3 pm. The last boat shuttle leaves the island at 4:30 pm. Transportation to the island is free but is available on a first come, first serve bases.
