Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens

Nothing beats a relaxing day at the beach, but when you need a break from the sun there is so much more to see and do near Deerfield Beach. Near the top of the list is the fabulous Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens. This tranquil paradise in Delray Beach is an urban oasis offering beautiful grounds to explore and a fascinating museum chronicling the history of Japanese culture in Florida.

During your visit, you can learn about Bonsai trees and stroll through the serene gardens. Enjoy Pan-Asian cuisine on the outdoor patio of the Cornell Cafe. Visit the gift shop to bring home a Japanese souvenir. On select Saturdays, the cultural center performs an elaborate Japanese Tea Ceremony. This is a wonderful way to immerse your family in Japanese culture. They also host several festivals throughout the year including the Lantern Festival in October and the Hatsume Fair in April to celebrate spring.

Admission is $15 for adults and $9 for children. Take an unforgettable journey to Japan just a short ride from our hotel. You can drive to the gardens in less than half an hour, so you can make an early afternoon visit, and still squeeze in some quality time at the beach.
