Escape to a Seaside Paradise at Deerfield Island Park

Discover a spectacular natural paradise when you make a visit to Deerfield Island Park. Located just a few blocks from our hotel, a trek through this nature preserve will show you a hard-to-find serene side of Florida. Take a kayak tour, go on a guided bird walk, or just hike along the paths and enjoy a picnic along the way. There are marked trails for walkers and picnic shelters to enjoy a relaxing break.

Featuring over 53 acres of unspoiled landscape, Deerfield Island Park is a wonderful destination for nature lovers. Enjoy outdoor recreation as you learn about local wildlife along the half-mile Coquina Trail. Environmental education is a big part of the preserve's mission and you can take a tour or workshop to learn about this sensitive area. One of the most popular activity is the volunteer-led Bird Walk Tour. Check the online calendar to find out the latest schedule for tours and events on the island.

On weekends, you can take a free 20-minute boat shuttle to the Deerfield Island Park at 10 am, noon, and 2 pm. In case of inclement weather, you can call 954-357-5100 to double check if the shuttle is running.
