Deerfield Island Park

Accessible only by boat, Deerfield Island Park is over 53 acres of nature preserve offering a ton of outdoor recreation and environmental education programs. The park is surrounded by the Royal Palm canal, Hillsboro canal and Intracoastal Waterway and features native animal and plant species. Visitors to the island can enjoy picnicking, kayaking tours, nature programs, fishing, and hiking the nature trails.

FAQs

  • How do you get to the island?

    Deerfield Island Park is accessible only by boat. The shuttle to the Island runs every hour, on the hour on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
  • Can I camp on the island?

    An area is reserved for youth primitive camping for nonprofit groups and is available November through April. Reservations can be made through Quiet Waters Park at 954-357-5100.
