International Fishing Pier is one of the oceanfront treasures of Deerfield Beach. Extending over 900 feet out into the clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, this popular family attraction is a few steps from our beachfront resort. Whether you want to take a romantic stroll at sunset or spend the afternoon fishing off the dock, this famous pier is worth exploring during your vacation in South Florida.
Fishing on the Pier
Thousands of fisherman flock to this dock every year to test their fishing skills. A fishing permit is $4 per person. You can bring your own fishing equipment or you can rent a rod at the pier for $15 (+ $25 refundable deposit). The concession stand carries live bait and accessories, and amateur fishing fans can take lessons from the experts on site. Choose between private lessons ($40 for a group of two) or group fishing lessons that start at $5 per child and $10 per adult.
Pier Sightseeing Information
The pier is open 6 am to midnight Monday through Thursday and all weekend long from 6 am on Friday to 12 am on Monday. It's easy to pop down the pier from our hotel for an early morning walk or an evening stroll after dinner at our hotel restaurant. Admission to the pier is $1 per person for sightseers. After your visit to International Fishing Pier, swing by the concession stand to bring home a souvenir t-shirt.
