Wander through a magical forest of holiday trees and help to support local charity organizations and non-profits when you visit the Forest of Angels in Coconut Creek, FL. This popular holiday event and fundraiser, now in its 4th year, brings local businesses and community members together to raise money for local charities like the Alzheimer's Association, Special Olympics and the Pantry of Broward. Event planners transform the Coconut Creek Plaza each December to create a dreamy event that includes hundreds of elaborately decorated Christmas trees, family activities and fun competitions. Sponsors from every part of the community work together to decorate their individual trees with lights, ornaments and other embellishments, creating a spectacular winter wonderland that delights visitors, both young and old.
Kids and families can explore the lighted forest, then head over for face painting, puppet shows, story time, holiday crafts, and a visit with Santa. The event also features a festive holiday cake-decorating contest that includes a cake auction after the awards presentation on December 20th.
The Forest of Angels runs from November 28th through December 20th. Open Tuesday-Friday from 11:30am-9pm; Saturday from 11am-9pm; Sunday from noon-6pm. Entry is free, but donations are accepted. Click here for a daily event listings and more information.
